We are proud and excited to share that Kelsey Hazelton (Commercial Marketer, York St.) has been named a finalist in the 2023 IBAO Awards of Excellence Rising Talent category.
She has also been recognized as an IBC Rising Star award recipient, naming her one of The Best Young Insurance Professionals Under 35 in Canada!
Kelsey has been with McFarlan Rowlands since April 2021, beginning in the role of Commercial Account Manager until transitioning into the role of Commercial Marketer in March 2022.
Since joining the insurance industry in 2016, Kelsey has:
- Become a RIBO Level 1 Licensing Course Facilitator at the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario
- Been appointed to the Board of Directors at the London Insurance Brokers Association
- Attained CIP and CPIB designations, as well as a Commercial Insurance certificate
- Begun pursuing CMGA designation
“I’m very driven, in general, but especially when it comes to my job; I’m disciplined in what I’m doing and prioritize being a team player in this industry, which is all about relationships.”
Kelsey’s vast knowledge and certifications, combined with her leadership skills and eagerness to expand her horizons, have led her to become an integral part of our team here at McFarlan Rowlands while also making significant industry impact.
“It’s rewarding, and giving back is the best part, especially the broker channel, which I love,” she explains. “I’m now in a position where I can share that knowledge with people who have no experience, in some cases, and lead them on the path to success on their exam and career.”
Kelsey is hardworking, and is a highly respected and valued member of our team. We’re proud of her accomplishments and will be rooting her on as she heads to the IBAO convention this October!
