Vote for Bullwinkles Cafe in the Aviva Community Fund Contest!

For seven years, AVIVA has been investing in charitable community initiatives across Canada. They have funded $5.5 million in community projects to date, and are donating another 1 million this year.

McFarlan Rowlands is taking part in this contest by supporting the Moose Family Centre & Operation Sharing in Woodstockwith their idea for a buffet-style eatery and culinary program for anyone in the community. We need your help to gain funding!

The team at Operation Sharing would like to create a dignified space for people to come and share a meal. Their vision is to break down barriers that exist in the community between those who have means and those who do not. “We need to find a better way to serve food for the less fortunate that isn’t as segregated as a typical soup kitchen” says Steve Guiliano of Operation Sharing.

Bullwinkles will serve lunch at the Moose Family Centre every Tuesday and Thursday. The program will double as a culinary and hospitality teaching program for anyone in the community to participate in. Approximately $100,000 is needed to update the Moose Family Centre. Renovations are needed in the washrooms, kitchen, wheel chair lift and main banquet hall where the meals will be served. These renovations will allow the Moose Family Centre to host Bullwinkles Cafe and the many other community programs they support.
